Methodology
Methodology:
Priaxor® fungicide was applied at flowering (R3) to soybean foliage at 4oz/A with 15 gal water/A with fine to medium sized droplets with a non-ionic surfactant. Priaxor is a fungicide containing fluxapyroxad (14.33%) and pyraclostrobin (28.58%) active ingredients; groups 7 and 11 fungicide.
Results
Results:
For this particular trial no significant yield gain was observed. A significant yield loss of -1.39 bu/A occurred instead, in the medium yielding soybeans (35-55 bu/A). The farmer reported white mold being problematic later on. Other factors may have combined with or against the action of the fungicide itself, to negatively influence yield results in the treated areas. It is worth noting that the negative yield loss was was slight and close to be insignificant at =/-1.36 bushel change needed in order to be significant. A 2016 trial in Kingsbury Co. with the same product, rate, and similar application timing, showed a 3.5 bu ac-1 yield increase.
