Methodology

Treatment Information
Three strips of Priaxor® fungicide were sprayed at 4 oz
ac-1 on Aug. 2 at late-R2. This product was a blend of both fluxapyroxad (group 7) and pyraclostrobin (group 11) fungicides. A surfactant was added to the tank and the spray mixture was applied at approx. 10 gal ac-1.

Agronomic and Weather Information
Soybeans with a 1.5 maturity rating were no-tilled in 30” rows on May 20. The field was previously in soybeans. Seed was treated with insecticide, fungicide, and a B. japonicum inoculant. The field received approx. 10.52 in. of rain and accumulated 1802 GDDs from June 1 through August 31. This was wetter and warmer than the average of 9.94 in. and 1697 GDDs.

Results

Results
Overall, the fungicide increased yields by 3.5 bu ac-1, which was statistically significant at the 95% CI (Table 2). Additional foliar fungicide trials are needed in the future, especially earlier in the flowering stage.
