Methodology

Hefty 28X8 soybeans were planted at 130K and 165K in strips on May 2, 2018 in 7.5 inch rows.

Results

Decreasing the seeding rate from 165K to 130K increased soybean yield by 1.90 bu/ac.  However, since there was only one replication, we could not determine if this yield increase was significant.  Other studies have reported similar results.
