Seeding Rate/ Varieties/ Row Spacing, Medium Yield
Asgrow AG24X7 soybeans were planted at 140K and 165K in strips on May 2, 2018 in 7.5 inch rows.
Decreasing the seeding rate from 165K to 140K increased soybean yield by 3.86 bu/ac. This increase in yield was not significantly different at the 90% confidence level. A yield change of 6.38 bu/ac would be required for there to be significant differences at the 90% confidence level.
Funding for this research project was provided by the South Dakota Soybean Research and Promotion Council. The authors would also like to thank the soybean producers who participated in this project.
