Methodology

Vitazyme, an organic biostimulant, was injected into the furrow at 13 oz/acre during planting on May 9.  The field was planted in 30 in. rows and received approx. 16.3 in. of rain and 1698 GDD’s from June 1 through August 31.  Yield differences within each treatment strip (Figure 1) were calculated by subtracting untreated yield from treated yield, where untreated yield was estimated from data surrounding both sides of the treatment strip.

Results

The yield response to Vitazyme was not statistically significant.  However, within the same field, the combination between Vitazyme and TagTeam® LCO, a seed treatment featuring phosphate-solubilizing Penicillium bilaii (Pb), appeared to have more potential.  Future trials to explore the possible interaction between Vitazyme and Pb could be of interest.
