Methodology

This experimental field was in Buffalo County, South Dakota. Soybeans 16X628 variety was planted in 30-inch rows in strips on May 15, 2021.  Vitazyme was applied to the treated strips during planting at 13 oz/acre in-furrow.  This experiment had two replications for treatment at low yield zone. During the analysis, whole field was separated into different yield zones i.e., Low (<35 bu/ac), mid yield (35 to 55 bu/ac) and high yield (>55 bu/ac).

Results

Overall, Vitazyme application at low yield zone reduced yield. Yield was increased by 2.77 bu/ac however was not statistically significant (Figure 1 & Table 1). Similar results have been found in other locations. Therefore, more research at multiple sites with more replications are required to better explain the contrast between two different treatments in different environmental condition.
