Methodology

Soybeans were planted in 30-inch rows at 123,000 seeds/ac in Bon Homme Co. on May 22, 2023. During planting, Vitazyme biostimulant was applied in-furrow at 13 oz/ac. Treatments were applied to 3 treatment strips that had a width of 120 ft. Soybeans were harvested on October 10, 2023, and yield analysis was conducted on the middle harvest pass from each treated strip. The yield within the field all fell into the medium yield grouping (35-55 bu/ac).

Results

Soybeans treated with Vitazyme in-furrow yielded 0.6 bu/ac higher than those not treated with the product.  This difference was less than 1.8 bu/ac, and therefore, not considered different at a 90% confidence level (Figure 1 & Table 1).  Vitazyme has increased yields in previous experiments, so additional trials in the future would be of interest.
