Methodology

This experimental field was located in Hand County, South Dakota. Soybeans were planted in 30-inch rows in strips on April 20, 2021. The purpose of this experiment is to compare the effects of Vitazyme treatment against no vitazyme treatment applied on July 24. This experiment had two replications for vitazyme treatment and two replications for no vitazyme application treatment. For analysis purposes, the field was classified into low yield zones (less than 35 bu/ac), mid yield zones (35-55 bu/ac), and high yield zones (more than 55 bu/ac).

Results

Vitazyme application  increased yield compared to no vaitazyme application treatment. Replication 1 had 3.62 bu/ac increase and replication 2 had 2.78 bu/ac resulting in 3.2 bu/ac average increase (Table 1). More research at multiple sites with more replications are required to better explain the contrast between two different treatments.
