Methodology

Channel 200-42VT2PRIB (100 day), Beck 5077 (100 day), and Pioneer P0339Q (103 day) hybrids were planted in 30-inch rows at 32,000 seeds/ac in McCook County on May 8, 2023. On June 12, 2023, Source DC was applied to the corn at 0.7 fl oz per acre as a foliar spray. The contents of this product are listed in the document below the yield maps. Source DC was applied in 7 strips 120 ft. wide. The corn was harvested on October 10, 2023.

Results

Plants treated with Source DC yielded 3.1 bu/ac higher than corn that did not receive this product. This was a smaller difference than 4.7 bu/ac and is therefore not considered to be significantly different at the 90% confidence level (Table 1). However, when the confidence level is dropped to 75% the results do become significantly different with the new confidence level being 3.1 bu/ac. T validate these results additional testing of the product would be beneficial, as other trials have seen different results.
