Methodology

Seed treated with Originate ST biological and Expand RS root stimulator was planted in 30-inch wide rows on 4/20/22 at 150,000 seeds/acre.  This experiment had 3 replications.  Soybeans were harvested on October 11, 2022.  This report evaluates performance in a low yield environment, which is classified as <35 bu/ac.

Results

The nontreated (NT) soybeans yielded 2.9 bu/ac higher than the treated ones, which was greater than the 1.0 bu/ac difference needed to call it significantly different at a 90% confidence interval  (Figure 1 & Table 1).  It’s possible that the low yield environment due to drought caused this negative response.   Additional research is needed, especially in higher yielding environments.
