Methodology

This experimental field was in Buffalo County, South Dakota. Soybeans 16X628 variety was planted in 30-inch rows in strips on May 15, 2021. The purpose of this experiment is to compare the effects of Rhizolizer treatment against no Rhizolizer treatment. This experiment had 2 replications for rhizolizer and no rhizolizer treatment. During the analysis, whole field was separated into different yield zones i.e., Low (<35 bu/ac), mid yield (35 to 55 bu/ac) and high yield (>55 bu/ac).

Results

Overall, Rhizolizer application at mid yield zone significantly changed the yield. Yield was increased by 1.54 bu/ac which was statistically significant (Figure 1 & Table 1). Replication 1 and 2 both had increase in yield by 1.34 and 1.74 bu/ac respectively. More research at multiple sites with more replications are required to better explain the contrast between two different treatments in different environmental condition.
