Methodology
Methods:
For broadcast treatments, a battery-powered hand-held spinner spreader was used to seed 5 feet wide at a time. Plots were 30-40 ft long and were harvested with a plot combine on Oct. 19. Biomass sampling was performed in late-Nov.
Results
Results:
There was no significant yield difference between soybeans broadcast with red clover. Their was however significant differences in cover crop biomass by landscape position, which did not significantly alter soybean yields.
