Methodology
Channel 2424RXF soybeans were planted on May 8, 2023, in 10-inch rows at 140,000 seeds/ac in McCook County. Quilt Xcel was applied to the soybeans on July 21, 2023, at a rate of 10.5 fl oz per acre. The contents of this product are listed in the documents below the yield maps. The product was applied in 120 ft. wide strips with 4 replications. The soybeans were harvested on October 3, 2023, and October 5, 2023.
Results
Plants treated with Quilt Xcel yielded 0.8 bu/ac higher than soybeans that did not receive the product. This was a smaller difference than 2.6 bu/ac and is therefore not significantly different at the 90% confidence level (Table 1). To validate these result, additional testing of these products would be beneficial, as other trials have seen different results.
