Methodology
Channel 2424RXF soybeans were planted on May 8, 2023, in 10-inch rows at 140,000 seeds/ac in McCook County. Quilt Xcel fungicide was applied to the soybeans on July 21, 2023, at a rate of 10.5 fl oz per acre. The contents of this product are listed in the documents below the yield maps. The product was applied in 120 ft. wide strips with 4 replications. The soybeans were harvested on October 3, 2023, and October 5, 2023.
Results
Plants treated with Quilt Xcel yielded 1.4 bu/ac lower than soybeans that did not receive this product. This was a smaller difference than 2.5 bu/ac and is therefore not significantly different at the 90% confidence level (Table 1). To validate these results, additional testing of this product would be beneficial, as other trials have seen different results.
