Methodology

Mustang 22X228 soybeans were planted on May 23, 2018 at 150,000 seeds/acre in 15 inch rows.  Primo foliar inoculant was applied at 1 pt/ac in 20 gpa water near the R1 growth stage.

Results

Primo foliar inoculant had little effect on soybean yield (0.35 bu/ac).  This change in yield was not significant.  A yield difference of 2.24 would be required for there to be significant differences at the 90% confidence level.  The small increase in yield could have been a result of the inoculant that was on the seed at planting.  Mixed results with Primo foliar inoculant have been noticed in the past.
