Methodology

Treatment Information
Six strips of Priaxor® fungicide were applied in-furrow at
4 oz ac-1. This product was a blend of both fluxapyroxad
(group 7) and pyraclostrobin (group 11) fungicides.

Agronomic and Weather Information
Soybeans with a 1.5 maturity rating were no-tilled in 30”
rows on May 20. The field was previously in soybeans.
Seed was treated with insecticide, fungicide, and a B.
japonicum inoculant. The field received approx. 4.78 in. of
rain and accumulated 1739 GDDs from June 1 through August 31.
This was drier, but similar in temperature than the
average of 9.15 in. and 1715 GDDs.

Results

Results
On average, the fungicide did not increase yields. However, there
were places where the product appeared effective, especially in
reps 2 and 5. It’s important to note that the seed had already been
coated with a fungicide. Therefore, any benefits that Priaxor® may
have provided were likely overshadowed. Trials with untreated
seed would be beneficial in the future to target areas of a field
more-prone to seedling diseases and reduce input costs.
