The Asgrow® varieties, AG2835 (Strips 1 and 2) and AG2933 (Strips 3) were planted in 15” rows on May 19. The seed was treated with IntegoTM (insecticide + fungicide) and Optimize® (rhizobia inoculant + LCO molecule). The seed was treated with IntegoTM (insecticide + fungicide) and Optimize® (Bradyrhizobia inoculant + LCO molecule). Three strips of potash were applied at 100 lbs K20 ac-1 on April 22. The fertilizer was shallowly incorporated with vertical tillage just prior to planting. The field received approx. 16.1 in. of rain from June 1 through August 31.
Results
Results
On average, the treated strips yielded no differently than the estimated yield of those same strips without the fertilizer (Table 2). This estimate was calculated from data surrounding both sides of each strip. In fact, there appeared to be several areas of yield loss, mostly in depression areas.
