Methodology
Soybeans were planted in 30-inch rows at 140,000 seeds per acre on May 20, 2022. The variety was AG18XF1. Goldstart starter fertilizer was applied in-furrow to three different planter passes that were each 60 ft wide. Combine passes were 30 ft. wide, with the middle pass from each treatment strip used for the yield analysis. Drone imagery was taken on August 17, 2022.
Results
Even though there appears to be a small increase in both yield and NDVI (Table 1), the differences weren’t statistically significant.
