Methodology
Soybeans were planted in 30-inch rows at 143,000 seeds/ac in Kingsbury Co. on May 9, 2023. During planting, NanoPhos (0-47-0), was applied in-furrow at a rate of 6 oz/ac. The NanoPhos was applied in 120 ft wide test strips in the field. Soybeans were harvested on September 16, 2023, and yield analysis was conducted on the middle two passes from each treated strip.
Results
The NanoPhos treatment had a significant effect on the soybean yields (90% confidence interval). NanoPhos was observed to have a negative impact on yield of the soybeans. The average loss across the field where NanoPhos treatments were implemented was 1.5 bu/ac with the 90% confidence interval being 0.8 bu/ac (Table 1 & Figure 1). It is possible that this field had sufficient fertility that the treatment did not have a beneficial effect on yields. Additional trials are needed in the future to verify the results of this trial.
