Multi-Product Comparison MegaFol® + UAN

Methods: Soybeans were planted into no-till corn residue on May 8th at 155,000 seeds/acre. MegaFol fertilizer blend, (3-0-8) was applied on July 7th at soybean V4 in strips, at 16 oz./acre. Urea Ammonium Nitrate or UAN (28-0-0) was also applied at 10 gallons/acre plus 10 gallons water, on July 7th at V4 which supplied an additional 29 pounds of nitrogen.

Results: Soybean yield results show the MegaFol foliar N product and the UAN treatment had a slight and non-significant yield advantage, when compared to the control strip. When compared to MegaFol foliar N product alone without the UAN their was a non-significant increase in yield; where MegaFol alone yielded slightly yet significantly less than the control int he same study. More research needs to be done to test the effects of multiple foliar Nitrogen products. See link to MegaFol vs. control report below.
