Methodology

Asgrow® 2733 group 2.7 maturity soybeans were planted on June 5, 2018 at 165,000 seeds/acre in 7.5 inch rows.  Factor® (Urease inhibitor) coated Urea (46-0-0) was applied at 20 lbs-N/ac by a hand spreader on July 28, 2018 into eight blocks in the field.

Results

The late season nitrogen application increased yield by 2.11 bu/ac.  This increase in yield was significant.  A yield increase of 1.58 bu/ac was met for there to be significant differences at the 90% confidence level.
