Methodology

Methods and Agronomic Information

Five strips of Quilt Xcel® were applied at 21 oz ac-1 on Aug. 13 at R4/R5. The variety, AG2733 was planted in 15” rows on May 23.  The seed was treated with IntegoTM (insecticide + fungicide) and Optimize® (rhizobia inoculant + LCO molecule). The field received approx. 16.1 in. of rain from June 1 through August 31.  Yield differences within each treatment strip (Figure 1) were calculated by subtracting untreated yield from treated yield, where untreated yield was estimated from data surrounding both sides of the treatment strip.

Results

Results

Overall, there was no significant yield response to the fungicide (Table 2).  However, there were areas with higher yields within strips on the Luton silty clay, which were also the lowest elevations in the field.
