Pioneer 90Y01 was no-tilled in 15 in. rows on May 13. Seed was treated with a fungicide, insecticide, and inoculant. ESN® controlled-release polymer coated urea was applied to the three treatment strips (Figure 1) at 75 lbs N ac-1 on July 17 at R2. The field received approx. 9.0 in. of rain from June 1 through August 31, with 3.24 in. recorded after the application.
Results
Results
On average, the treated strips yielded no differently than the estimated yield of those same strips without ESN® (Table 2). This estimate was calculated from data surrounding both sides of each strip. When ESN® was applied to this field on June 5, 2015 at V1, this product showed greater potential.
