Three strips of ESN® controlled-release polymer coated urea were applied as a surface broadcast at 75 lbs N ac-1 on July 4 just prior to R1. AG2835 (Strip 1 and comparision) and AG2933 (Strips 2, 3, and comparision) were planted in 15” rows on May 19. The seed was treated with IntegoTM (insecticide + fungicide) and Optimize® (rhizobia inoculant + LCO molecule). The field received approx. 16.1 in. of rain from June 1 through August 31. Yield differences within each treatment strip (Figure 1) were calculated by subtracting untreated yield from treated yield, where untreated yield was estimated from data surrounding both sides of the treatment strip.
Results
Results
Overall, there was no significant yield response to ESN® (Table 2). ESN® was also spread in this field on June 24 at V3 with no significant yield gain.
