Methodology

This experimental field was in Buffalo County, South Dakota. Soybeans 24×728 variety was planted in 30-inch rows in strips on April 27, 2021. The purpose of this experiment is to compare the effects of Envita treatment, which was applied at the rate of 3.2 fl oz, and no Envita treatment. This experiment had three replications of Envita treatment which was applied on 7/2/2021 at low yield zone. During the analysis, whole field was separated into 3 different yield zones i.e., Low yield (<35 bu/ac), mid yield (35 to 55 bu/ac) and high yield (>55 bu/ac) and this analysis is for low yield zone.

Results

Overall, Vitazyme application at low yield zone reduced yield. Yield was increased by 1.96 bu/ac however was not statistically significant (Figure 1 & Table 1). All replications 1, 2 and 3 saw increase in yield by 2.79, 0.11 and 2.99 bu/ac respectively. Similar results have been found in other locations. However still more research at multiple sites with more replications are required to better explain the contrast between two different treatments in different environmental condition.
