Methodology
Soybeans were planted in 30-inch rows at 140k seeds/ac in Buffalo Co. on April 27, 2021. Envita was applied to the treated strips at 3.2 fl oz/acre on 7/2/2021. This was a microbial product that contained Gluconacetobacter diazotrophicus at 1.0 x 107 CFU/mL. The application was made at 10.19 gal. spray solution/acre, which contained X-Celerate surfactant at 8 oz/acre. Analysis was conducted on the low yield zone of the field (<35 bu/ac).
Results
Soybeans receiving Envita yielded 1.9 bu/ac higher than those without (Figure 1 & Table 1). A p-value of 0.08 means there’s an 8% likelihood the difference was due to random chance.
