Methodology
Soybeans were planted in 30-inch rows at 140k seeds/ac in Buffalo Co. on April 27, 2021. Envita was applied to the treated strips at 3.2 fl oz/acre on 7/23/2021. This was a microbial product that contained Gluconacetobacter diazotrophicus at 1.0 x 107 CFU/mL. The spray solution was applied at 10.19 gal/acre, which also contained X-Celerate surfactant at 8 oz/acre. Analysis was conducted on the medium yield zone of the field (35-55 bu/ac).
Results
Soybeans receiving Envita yielded 1.7 bu/ac higher than those without (Figure 1 & Table 1). A p-value of 0.12 means there’s a 12% likelihood the difference was due to random chance.
