Seeding Rate/ Varieties/ Row Spacing, Medium Yield
Three strips of Pioneer P16A49X were planted at 145K and 165K seeds/acre on May 19.
Increasing the seeding rate from 145K to 165K increased soybean yield by 0.76 bu/ac. This increase in yield was significantly different. A yield difference of 0.71 bu/ac was met for the yields be to significantly different at the 90% confidence level.
Funding for this research project was provided by the South Dakota Soybean Research and Promotion Council. The authors would also like to thank the soybean producers who participated in this project.
