Methodology

Asgrow AG26XF soybeans were planted on May 1, 2023, in 10-inch rows at 140,000 seeds/ac in McCook County. Quilt Xcel and Source SC were applied to the soybeans on July 21, 2023, at a rate of 10.5 fl oz per acre for the Quilt Xcel fungicide, and 1.24 fl oz per acre for the Source SC. The contents of these products are listed in the documents below the yield maps. The products were applied in 120 ft. wide strips with 4 replications. The soybeans were harvested on September 30, 2023, through October 2, 2023.

Results

Plants treated with Quilt Xcel and Source SC yielded 0.3 bu/ac lower than soybeans that did not receive these products. This was a smaller difference than 1.6 bu/ac and is therefore not significantly different at the 90% confidence level (Table 1). To validate these results, additional testing of these products would be beneficial, as other trials have seen different results.
